Directly via the Geberit Control app for single operation
If a firmware update is available for a particular end device, this is indicated in the Geberit Control app by an orange warning sign.
Users can then update the corresponding end device directly via the Geberit Control app.
In a connected system
When a software update is available for the Geberit Gateway or a particular end device, this is indicated by an orange warning sign. The following options are available for the firmware update:
- Firmware update with USB stick
- Firmware update with Geberit Cloud Services

Do I need a Geberit ID to use the Geberit Control app?
Yes. A personal Geberit ID is required to access the Geberit Gateway. This can be created directly in the Geberit Control app.
Which Geberit products are compatible with the app?
The Geberit Control app can be used to operate Geberit WC controls, hygiene flush units, washbasin taps and urinal flush controls that are designed for operation in a connected system such as Geberit Connect.
How do I connect the Geberit Control app to an end device?
The Geberit Control app displays the connection steps for the end device to be paired. If this does not work, the four-digit code on the specification plate can be used as an alternative connection method.
What do I do if I can access the end device with the Geberit Control app but it no longer works properly?
The Geberit Control app provides a lot of useful information in the event of an error.
If you can’t find the answers you need, you can send a service request to the responsible customer service team in the app. All the necessary data is sent with the service request so that we can help you as quickly as possible.
Can other users access my end devices with the Geberit Control app?
All Geberit controls can be password-protected against unauthorised access in the Geberit Control app. User authorisations can be transferred to third parties with full or partial access.
How do I update the firmware on my end devices?
If a firmware update is available for end devices, this is displayed in the Geberit Control app and the update can be started via smartphone.
If devices are operated individually, they can be updated directly via the Geberit Control app.
In networked systems, it is possible to update the firmware directly via a cloud connection or with a USB stick. The user manual contains all the necessary information.
How do I maintain my Geberit HS30 or HS50 hygiene flush unit?
The Geberit Control app provides an overview of the annual maintenance tasks. Users also have the option to reset maintenance intervals.
The app makes it easy to configure products using your own smartphone or tablet, without requiring any additional devices (Geberit Service Handy). The new Geberit Control App is available for both iOS and Android devices. Going forward, it will facilitate communication and configuration for all Geberit controls.
Overview of Geberit Control App functionalities:
- Safety is important to us: In future, all Geberit controls will be password-protected against unauthorised access. User registration is mandatory for unrestricted use of the Geberit Control App and password protection (of the Geberit control). The user registers once and receives their personal Geberit ID
- Device configuration and setting of the desired programs and parameters. Device configurations can be saved and transferred to other devices
- The devices (e.g. urinal and WC flush controls as well as washbasin taps) can be grouped by sanitary room
- Recorded data (e.g. number of uses or flushes) can be saved as statistics and easily exported
- Activation of cleaning mode and urinal flush
- Transfer of user authorisations to third parties so that they have restricted or unrestricted access to the control
- User authorisations can be transferred to third parties as full and partial access (only cleaning mode possible). The receiver also requires a Geberit ID for full access
