Electrical and water connections built onto the WC Power & Connect Box and prepared conduit pipes

One connection, lots of options

Electrical and water connections built onto the WC make it easy to retrofit innovative comfort functions that enhance the WC area.

Planning these connections at an early stage gives you greater flexibility in the future. Existing connections for electricity and water save costs and work when retrofitting.

An electrical connection to the WC is provided by the Power & Connect Box and is ideally installed during the installation phase.

An additional water supply connection is also pre-installed in all Geberit installation systems via conduit pipes.

Advantages of electrical and water connections built onto the WC Future-proof and easy to expand

Where a conventional toilet is installed today, after just a few years there may be a desire for a shower toilet, an orientation light, a touchless actuator plate, an odour extraction system or other functions for an accessible WC or bathroom.

With future technical developments, the WC can also be integrated into smart home systems. If all the connections required in future are already in place, there is no need for costly retrofitting work.

Thanks to the Power & Connect Box from Geberit, an electrical connection for the WC can be integrated into the installation element from the outset. This creates the perfect conditions for retrofitting various comfort functions and additional features at a later date.

The concealed water supply connection is prepared with conduit pipes for all standard Geberit installation systems such as Geberit Duofix, Geberit GIS or Geberit Kombifix.

The Power & Connect Box from Geberit Electrical connection built onto the WC

With the Power & Connect Box, it’s easy to retrofit a shower toilet, a Geberit DuoFresh odour extraction unit, an orientation light, a touchless actuator plate or a hygiene flush unit.

It’s also easier to create an accessible, barrier-free bathroom and to connect sanitary rooms to a network or to a building automation system. All this ensures even more economical operation.

The concealed installation method also ensures an attractive appearance and protection from vandalism.

The Power & Connect Box can be installed without tools on the Geberit Duofix or Geberit GIS element for the WC, regardless of the WC ceramic appliance selected.

Comfort functions on the WC with electrical connection

Simple installation of the electrical connection Separation of utilities & tool-free

The Power & Connect Box offers the advantage of separation of utilities during installation. This makes coordination between electrically skilled persons and sanitary professionals much easier and makes installation particularly straightforward, especially in the sanitary area.

In the first step, a sanitary professional installs the installation element for the WC, such as Geberit Duofix or Geberit GIS in the installation phase, and installs the housing of the Geberit Power & Connect Box.

In the next step, an electrically skilled person lays the mains cable and connects it to the intermediate bottom of the Geberit Power & Connect Box.

All the 12 V connections are made by sanitary specialists. There are clearly defined, separate areas for 220 V and 12 V, so that the 12 V connection can be installed without an electrically skilled person. The power supply unit is simply plugged into the intermediate bottom by the sanitary specialist without the use of tools, using the plug-and-play principle.

Available variants of the Power & Connect Box

The Power & Connect Box can be integrated into the Geberit Duofix and Geberit GIS elements for Sigma and Omega concealed cisterns with an installation depth of 12 cm. It comes factory-installed for some variants.

The Power & Connect Box consists of an installation set, which is used in the installation phase, and a ready-to-fit set, which is required for the final installation and for connection of the comfort functions.

  • Installation set: This consists of the installation box, a conduit pipe for the Geberit AquaClean electrical connection, the intermediate bottom and the protection housing. Preparation for retrofitting electrical connections is simple. The installation set should always be installed and fitted with the conduit pipe by an electrically skilled person. This ensures that the electrical connection can be retrofitted with minimum effort.
  • Ready-to-fit set/pre-assembled set: The set consists of an intermediate bottom with a 12-volt power supply unit and a mains cable.

A set consisting of an installation set and ready-to-fit set is also available.

Frequently asked questions about electrical and water connections built onto the WC

Which Geberit products is the Power & Connect Box compatible with?

The Power & Connect Box is compatible with the Geberit GIS and Geberit Duofix installation systems in combination with 12-cm deep cisterns and all Geberit WC ceramic appliances.

Where is the outlet mounting box placed?

The outlet mounting box is invisible behind the toilet on the installation element for the WC. For example, the 12 V cable can be routed directly from the outlet mounting box to the odour extraction unit via an integrated conduit pipe.

In a private bathroom, this invisible placement ensures a neat and tidy appearance. In semipublic or public sanitary facilities, its position protects it from vandalism.

Why should you consider an additional electrical and water supply connection built onto the WC, right from the planning stage?

Nowadays, installation systems and cisterns are usually installed behind the wall and are therefore invisible.

If the connections for electricity and water are available from the outset on the installation element for the WC, the wall does not need to be opened later if, for example, a shower toilet or an orientation light is to be retrofitted.

Installing connections from the start means you can avoid subsequent costs and complex structural work.

How high are the costs for the initial installation of a Power & Connect Box compared to a retrofit?

The extra cost for the product is low.

Compared to the cost of retrofitting, which requires the wall to be opened and the WC installation element to be replaced, initial installation is significantly cheaper.
