WHAT IS GEBERIT HOME?

Geberit Home is an app from Geberit for your smartphone. Geberit Home provides digital access to various Geberit products in the bathroom and assists you with operation, configuration and maintenance. The app and its features are free.

WHICH PRODUCTS DOES GEBERIT HOME SUPPORT?

The Geberit products currently supported by Geberit Home can be seen in the app description in each app store.


HOW DO I CONNECT MY GEBERIT PRODUCT TO GEBERIT HOME?

Via Bluetooth® 1). Activate the Bluetooth® function on your smartphone. The next steps are displayed in the app.

WHY DO I HAVE TO GRANT LOCATION PERMISSION TO USE GEBERIT HOME?

Bluetooth®1) is connected to the location services on Android devices with older operating system versions. This means that any Android device with an older operating system requires location permission to be granted in order to use an app that works with BLE. Geberit does not use any location data.

HOW DOES GEBERIT ENSURE SECURITY AND DATA PRIVACY?

Geberit develops and operates digital products and services according to high security standards. In addition, a review by external, independent cyber security specialists is carried out at regular intervals. EU data protection guidelines are followed in the development and operation of digital products and services. I HAVE ALREADY INSTALLED THE GEBERIT AQUACLEAN APP. CAN I CONTINUE TO USE IT?

No, the Geberit AquaClean app is no longer supported. Please use Geberit Home from now on.


WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE CONNECTION TO MY GEBERIT AQUACLEAN SHOWER TOILET FAILS, IS SLOW OR UNSTABLE OR IF A FIRMWARE UPDATE FAILS?

If one of these cases should arise, we recommend carrying out the following steps:

  • Uninstall Geberit Home from your smartphone and then restart the smartphone.
  • Switch the Geberit AquaClean shower toilet off, wait 30 seconds and then switch it on again.
  • Re-install Geberit Home on your smartphone and try again. Follow the steps shown in the app carefully. Keep your smartphone near your shower toilet and keep the app open
  • If you require further assistance, Geberit customer service in your country will be happy to help.

I HAVE CONNECTED MY GEBERIT AQUACLEAN SHOWER TOILET TO THE GEBERIT HOME APP. NOW THE PHYSICAL REMOTE CONTROL OF MY SHOWER TOILET HAS STOPPED WORKING. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Geberit AquaClean shower toilets support only one active Bluetooth®1) connection at a time. Close the app on your smartphone to be able to use the physical remote control again. For more information on the physical remote control, refer to the operating instructions of the shower toilet.

HOW CAN I ACCESS THE REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTION OF MY GEBERIT AQUACLEAN SHOWER TOILET AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE USING THE GEBERIT HOME APP?

There has been a remote control quick access function for Geberit AquaClean shower toilets since version 2.4 of Geberit Home. To use it, swipe to the right over the desired shower toilet on the app home screen (the shower toilet must have already been connected to the app once) and then tap on the blue remote control symbol.

HOW DO I USE THE DRYER FUNCTIONALITY ON MY GEBERIT AQUACLEAN SHOWER TOILET WITHOUT FIRST HAVING TO USE THE SHOWER FUNCTIONALITY AGAIN?

On Geberit AquaClean models with dryers, it has been possible to reactivate the dryer functionality after the shower functionality has been used at least once during a usage cycle since Geberit Home version 2.3. To do so, tap the shower icon on the remote control in the app to deactivate the shower. Then tap “Start“ again to use the dryer only.


WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEVICE SETTINGS AND PERSONAL SETTINGS ON GEBERIT AQUACLEAN SHOWER TOILETS?

Personal settings are active as long as you are connected to the device with the app. You can find the personal settings in the remote control function of the app by clicking on the blue icon below the product name. The device settings, on the other hand, are active when the device is controlled by the physical remote control or the local control. It may take a few minutes after disconnecting from the app for the device settings to become active again. This can be seen, for example, if the colour of the orientation light does not change immediately if different colours are selected for the personal settings and the device settings.
