Shower toilet: Benefits and functions
What is a shower toilet? Innovative combination of toilet and bidet

A shower toilet is a toilet with an integrated water jet for optimum personal hygiene. Similar to the functionality of a bidet, the shower spray gently but thoroughly cleans your intimate area with water after you’ve been to the toilet. This dramatically reduces the amount of toilet paper you need to use – in many cases, you don’t need to use any at all.
Many toilets with a built-in bidet offer a high degree of comfort thanks to innovative additional functions such as a warm air dryer, lady shower, heated seat or odour extraction unit. That is why a shower toilet is also referred to as a smart toilet. It is perfect for people of all ages, genders and physical conditions.
The combination of toilet and bidet looks like a normal toilet from the outside and generally takes up the same amount of space.
Bidet toilets are especially common in Japan and South Korea, which is why they are often called “Japanese toilets”. But even in Europe, more and more people are enjoying the wonderfully fresh feeling and complete clean a shower toilet provides.

Outstanding customer satisfaction Customers' experience with Geberit shower toilets

Geberit recognised the need for better cleanliness and hygiene, which is why we introduced the first bidet toilet with spray functionality all the way back in 1978. Over the past four decades, Geberit has worked tirelessly to develop the technology and shower toilet experience.
And the numbers speak for themselves: more than 80% of Geberit customers are very satisfied with AquaClean shower toilets and would recommend them to family and friends. This customer satisfaction makes clear that smart toilets are in tune with the times and generate a lot of enthusiasm. (2019, Geberit customer survey, 700 respondents)
