Big maintenance tips
If the toilet flush keeps on running, it could be a sign that dirt is blocking the flush valve. The valve is installed with a silicone seal over the outlet at the bottom of the cistern. Under normal circumstances, the valve blocks the outlet. If dirt, such as deposits from the cistern, gets lodged between the seal and the drain hole, it can block the flush valve. The following videos show how the valve can be cleaned quite easily, even in the case of concealed cisterns.

Be careful!
Please note that you are fully responsible for the maintenance tasks performed and are liable for any damage caused. This is a possibility because most brackets are made of plastic and can break off or become damaged if handled incorrectly. It is usually not necessary to clean the inside of the cistern. In fact, doing so might cause large pieces of incrustations to come loose and clog the cistern. In the worst-case scenario, the plumber then needs to demount the entire toilet. Take care not to break anything when removing the trap. As the old adage goes, look before you leap – or in this case turn! And always call the plumber if in any doubt.
