Low-noise drainage for more comfort Van der Valk Hotel, Woerden (NL)

Anyone staying at the Van der Valk Hotel Woerden won’t notice a thing – and that’s exactly how it should be. Behind the hotel’s walls, Geberit Silent-Pro with the sophisticated Geberit SuperTube technology ensures not only peace and quiet but also comfort and reliability.

The right solution for high-end hotel projects

For the construction of the new 143-room hotel, technical installation company Linthorst Installatietechniek was commissioned to handle all installations as well as measurement and control systems. Linthorst quickly realised that Geberit SuperTube with Geberit Silent-Pro was the right solution.

Geberit was involved in the project from an early stage. According to Jeroen Kemmink, Account Manager at Geberit, being involved early on is crucial to success.

“We were involved right from the start and supported the entire process from beginning to end. Especially with systems that are still relatively new to the market, you want to provide the best possible support to both the installation company and the client and take some of the burden off them. This allows us to make sure everything is done right the first time.”

Less noise for a more peaceful hotel thanks to Geberit Silent-Pro

In a hotel, acoustic comfort isn’t a luxury; it’s a basic requirement. Guests expect peace and quiet – both in their rooms and in the corridors. For Freddy Kiezenbrink and his team at Linthorst Installatietechniek, this was an important starting point. “There should be as little noise as possible in the corridors and on the floors,” he explains. “These pipes are manufactured to be sound-insulating as standard, so you don’t really need any additional insulation.” The advantages are clear: fewer work steps on the building site and greater certainty regarding the end result.

Smooth and secure installation with Geberit SuperTube technology

The system also proved its practicality during installation. Systems need to both function perfectly and be easy to install. “The system is user-friendly and easy to install,” said Kiezenbrink.“

There are no complicated connections or restrictions, so you can install everything in one go. This makes the work clear and straightforward for the fitters.” Simple installation ensures that everything runs smoothly, reduces the risk of errors and makes planning easier.

Prepared for future growth

What makes this project special is that future growth has already been factored into the plans. Two additional storeys can be added to the building at a later date. “The required fittings are already in place in the attic floor,” explains Kiezenbrink. “This will allow us to extend the system right up to a new roof later on without any problems.” The system therefore considered not only the building’s current situation but also its future.

Cooperation as the key to success

Collaboration between Geberit and Linthorst Installatietechniek played an important role throughout the project.

“Linthorst often works with our products, with great results,” said Kemmink. “We would like to expand our collaboration even further.” Good coordination right from the start meant that everyone knew what they had to do, which ensured the project went seamlessly.

Tried and tested in hotel construction

For Linthorst, the conclusion is clear: When it comes to comfort, efficiency and reliability, this system delivers on all counts. When it comes to comfort, efficiency and reliability, this system delivers on all counts.
