With the H.O.M.E. Haus 2022, the renowned architecture firm Hadi Teherani has developed a modern, sustainable concept for a residential building with Geberit products in the bathroom.
The H.O.M.E. Haus 2022 was designed by the renowned architecture and design firm Hadi Teherani Architects from Hamburg (DE), and provides both a source of inspiration for future building and a stage for modern design. The house of the future combines traditional construction with modern elements. It impresses thanks to its sustainable architecture concept and unique interior design ideas.
A modern house inspired by traditional architecture
As part of this project, the top architect reinterpreted the traditional house with courtyard and took inspiration from his Iranian homeland. Here, houses are often built with one floor underground due to the heat – a construction method that has been used for over 1,500 years.
There are virtually no enclosed rooms in the 1,200-square-metre house. The water features are surrounded by walls, creating a modern living environment. Meanwhile, the light wells, inner courtyards and gardens ensure lots of light – even in the areas below ground level. The design concept is based on natural colours and materials.
Sustainable construction
The building is powered by sustainable solar and wind energy. A windcatcher (or bâdgir, in Iranian) is an element used in traditional Persian architecture, and provides natural air-conditioning in the building thanks to its air channels. The windcatcher rises majestically from the ground and gives the building an almost sculptural look.
Ideas for the modern bathroom
And what does the modern bathroom look like here? In all three bathrooms, the solutions from Geberit ensure a coherent overall appearance.
In the main bathroom, the Geberit Tawa bathtub blends in perfectly thanks to its vitreous china cladding. The slim washbasin from the Geberit ONE bathroom series appears to float in the room, with the trap concealed in the wall. The elegant appearance is rounded off by a washbasin tap embedded in the wall. The low cabinets from the modular Geberit iCon furniture series in hickory create intelligent storage space. The CleanLine shower channel blends in perfectly with the minimalist design of the shower.
Innovative Geberit bathroom solutions
In the second bathroom, the Geberit ONE mirror cabinet is concealed in the wall thanks to the innovative installation elements. This gives the bathroom an added sense of space. The addition of a matching lay-on washbasin, cabinet and tap from the Geberit ONE series creates functional and aesthetic unity. Bathroom furniture with wood surfaces brings a natural feel-good atmosphere to the bathroom.
In the guest WC, the Geberit AquaClean Mera Comfort shower toilet ensures a special feeling of freshness after using the toilet. It is attached to the Monolith sanitary module, the elegant solution for housing the flush technology.
